It seems that Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias, although indirectly, accepts Skopje claims about alleged Greece’s irredentist aspirations towards the neighbouring country, opposition New Democracy shadow foreign minister Giorgos Koumoutsakos said. Koumoutsakos criticizes the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs over the statement of Macedonian Foreign Minister Nikola Dimitrov at the joint press conference with Kotzias, who said that the working groups of the two countries ‘have actually aligned a text on a future cooperation in various areas and also worked on drafting a document on preventing irredentism by the two parties,’ MIA reports from Athens. In its unofficial reaction the Greek MoFA demanded that the opposition party should finally show elementary seriousness in the national issues.
