PM Zaev Meets Ukrainian FM Klimkin

Interest has been shown to enhance relations between Macedonia and Ukraine, especially economic cooperation, concluded Prime Minister Zoran Zaev and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin, who is paying an official visit to Macedonia. The two interlocutors vowed to evidently improve relations between the countries, the government said in a press release. They concurred that conditions had been created to boost cooperation after the reforms implemented by the government at economic and political level. Efforts to lift the years-long stalemate in the functioning of the mixed committee charged with implementing the free trade agreement were also welcomed. The Ukrainian diplomat said that the government of Macedonia had been managing to address challenges as regards reform implementation and good neighbourly relations, which had been paving the way for the country to conclude its EU integration bid.
