Public interest and the way in which the wire-tapped materials were created are two reasons because of which the Court of Appeals has decided to accept them as evidence in the 2013 Centar violence case. In addition, the materials are part of Macedonia’s legal order with the Law on the Public Prosecutor’s Office for Prosecuting Criminal Offences Related to and Arising from the Content of the Illegally Intercepted Communications. The fourth reason for the acceptance of the materials is because of the Court of Appeals once decided that conversations recorded outside a criminal procedure be accepted as evidence – in the case dubbed “Spy”.
